The Cleveland residential apartment market continues to grow and K&D, Northeast Ohio’s largest privately owned property management and development firm, continues to add to its portfolio. Denk Associates recently worked along with Berardi Partners, the project architect, and Cleveland Construction, the construction manager, to help turn the former East Ohio Gas headquarters building into a 223 apartment building with retail space available on the first floor. Not only is the Residences at 1717 included in the National Registry of Historic Places, but the building is also expected to achieve USBGC LEED for Homes certification. Due to the project’s significance with respect to downtown Cleveland urban living, the Residences at 1717 along with K&D owner Doug Price were part of a Wall Street Journal Online article as well as a separate Wall Street Journal print article. In addition to the Wall Street Journal Online article. The Residences at 1717 was also recently featured in the August 2014 issue of Properties Magazine.
